I've given up on finding any envelope gum and I really don't want to order any. The next best thing is this thin strip of double-sided tape, I think it's 1/8 of an inch. It works just fine to finish off the envelope then I can use a rolling tape dispenser instead of glue--which can get messy as it dries--when I go seal the envelope. Pretty easy peasy.
I finished the envelobox (in the fancy paper) and a few different sizes of envelopes in a nice linen paper. What I really like about this process is I can use nice paper that I know will take inks well and not have to worry about feathering and cheap envelopes. Now I'm ready for letters!
I love copperplate engrossing. In the years (2009) since I was introduced to this beautiful form of writing, I have worked to perfect what I do. I'm not where I want to be, but I'll keep practicing and one day I will be. In the meantime, feel free to leave feedback on what you see.. A fresh perspective is always welcome. Thank you

Envelope maker
One of the gals in our local Scribes received this as a Secret Santa after our annual luncheon. I've made envies with instructions online before but this makes it soooooooo much easier. You can find it at their website or cheaper (I think) on Amazon.

I can not only create envelopes but line them, create little envelope boxes if I make a card that needs some space, etc. Another neat tool for the growing arsenal.
